Purple Expression — Original Pen & Watercolour Portrait by Sketchar B

Emotion without explanation. Expression without permission.

Powerful, unconventional and unapologetically expressive, Purple Expression is an original pen-and-watercolour portrait by British artist Sketchar B.

Created through an energetic combination of flowing violet watercolour, deep purple shadows and instinctive pen strokes, the piece transforms a human face into an exploration of emotion and identity.

The exaggerated facial features, dramatic dark lips and tangled expressive lines challenge traditional ideas of portraiture.

Rather than pursuing photographic perfection, Sketchar B embraces the beauty of spontaneity, revealing character through gesture, distortion and raw mark-making.

The result is a compelling contemporary artwork that invites interpretation and conversation.

Whether displayed in a luxury residence, contemporary office, creative studio or private gallery, this striking portrait commands attention.
